The 26th Annual Golden Joysticks are almost upon us. And, if you’ve still not voted for your favourite games, publisher and developer yet, now is the time. Like,right now. There’s already been well over half-a-million votes, so if you don’t have your say by 27 October when voting closes, well, you’re just going to feel a bit silly.

Not only do you get the chance to reward your favourite game the gongs you think they deserve, but Virgin Media – who are sponsoring the event – are still generously giving away a well furnished shed-load of great goodies to convince you to get clicking.

You know when games journalists and developers start dusting off their moth-eaten suits that it must be awards time. And there’s no bigger ceremony than October’s Golden Joysticks, where all you gamers get to vote for your favourite titles of the last 12 months. Over half a million votes have already been registered, with some lucky gamers winning big prizes in the process, such as the 500,000th voter Mark Melia, who bagging himself a 700 Sony Bravia TV.

CVG gets a shiny new relaunch! (Xbox 360)

More big news for the GamesRadar family today folks. After a long, long tour of duty providing us with all of the on-the-minute gaming news you could possibly require,CVGhas officially joined the Radar network, bringing a classy new look and a streamlined design with it.

The oldest name in the gaming press, CVG (Or Computer and Video Games if you want to be puristic about it) has been fighting the good fight for top quality games coverage since 1981 – longer than a couple of Radar editors have even been alive – and we couldn’t be more proud to be part of its on-going evolution. You’ll still be getting the same great CVG content as ever, of course, but now it’s all wrapped up in an easier-to-read, faster-to-navigate site which puts the reader right at the centre of everything. The new site is understandably still in beta, but as it developes, the guys want as much community input as they can get in order to tweak, prune, add and shape things to be exactly as you want them.
