New Viva Pinata 2 trailer (Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise)

Gameplay footage? Nah, you’re not interested in that. Check out this wicked CGI Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise video Microsoft’s just released. It erm, shows off some new Pinatas at least.

The follow-up adds the obligatory extra critters, new environments as well as something called Pinata Vision, which lets you pick up Viva Pinata trading cards in shops, and the slap them in front of your Vision Camera to put them in your game. Sounds like an idea to make money to us.

Saints Row 2 trailer slams GTA (Saints Row 2)

THQ has released a new Saints Row 2 trailer that asks the question we’ve all been thinking: wouldn’t you rather being playing GTA IV?

“Would you rather go bowling… or spray loads of sewage on pedestrians?” asks the trailer. “Would you rather go to the cabaret with a friend… or inflict serious bodily injuries to your friend to earn a little insurance money?”

Although GTA IV isn’t mentioned by name, you can see the direct comparison – they’ve even nicked the GTA font. Watch it now:

New Resident Evil 5 trailer soon (Resident Evil 5)

A splattering of new info on Resident Evil 5 has come from the pages of Famitsu that says there’s to be a new trailer soon.

The basics of the info has been rounded up in a NeoGAF post, which says a new female character (shown holding a shotgun, wearing a tank top and boots similar to Jill’s in RE3) will appear.

According to the post ‘there will be an intense contrast between light and dark.’ How that’ll go past ‘I can’t see in the dark’ to ‘oh, I’ve got a flash light now I can see’ remains to be seen.
